You
may ask….
How
can a Holistic Nutritionist help me?
A
Holistic Nutritionist looks at the
entire person, their dietary intake,
including supplements and lifestyle. The body is made up of the raw materials of what we eat,
digest and assimilate.
Nutrition is also the science and
study of proper balance within the diet
and lifestyle to promote health.
The combination of the foods we
eat, water we drink, and the way we live
our lives determine the overall health
of our body.
Our goal is to enable the body to
heal naturally by supplying the proper
nutrients to maintain health and
wellness for the whole person.
Such
counsel may include:

-
Recommending
food selection and preparation
-
Evaluation
of nutrient intolerances
(deficiencies and intolerances)
-
Recommending
supplements as needed
-
Educating
clients about the benefits of a
sound nutritional program to enable
the body to heal itself
-
Evaluation
of a clients food journal and
lifestyle over a week period
-
Particular
attention is paid to client’s
intake of proper fats, starches, and
protein, sugars and fiber
-
Designing
an individualized program for each
client specific to their health
concerns, goals, food allergies,
deficiencies, activity, age, gender
-
Complete
health history and assessment to
determine imbalances in the body

What is a Registered Nutritional
Consulting Practitioner?
Registered Nutritional
Consulting Practitioners (RNCP)
are professionals who have been
trained in holistic nutrition
and other complementary
modalities.
RNCPs can educate you about the
benefits of a balanced
nutritional program and healthy
lifestyle to encourage your body
to achieve optimum health and
vitality.
RNCPs are certified by the
International Organization of
Nutritional Consultants. The
IONC is a voluntary, non-profit,
incorporated organization. It
was founded in 1983 to create
public awareness about holistic
nutritional consulting and to
regulate the standards of
education for holistic
nutritional consultants.
Qualifications for those who
apply for professional
membership as RNCPs are
independently assessed.
Professional members of IONC are
those who have met its strict
educational and ethical
standards. They are granted
exclusive use of the title,
"Registered Nutritional
Consulting Practitioner" (RNCP).
By law, anyone may call
themselves a nutritional
counselor, but only those who
have thoroughly studied
nutrition and have met the
requirements of IONC are granted
the RNCP designation.
